“Legacy giving” (also known as “planned giving”) refers to future charitable gifts that require some planning now, before they are made. These gifts are popular because they ensure that your vision can live on forever.
A legacy gift can help secure the future of the Conservancy’s work while providing valuable tax benefits and/or income for yourself or others. Please view our brochure for more information about different types of legacy giving, including bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, gift annuities, estate gifts and more.
Bequests
One way anyone can create a lasting conservation legacy is through a bequest, where the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy is named as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, life insurance, or retirement accounts. If you decide to do this, please let us know by sending us an Estate Intention Form.
We Want to Thank You
Donors who make legacy gifts may choose to become members of the Vanguard Society. As a Vanguard Society member, you will help to ensure that the places we protect today will be cared for far into the future, for all generations to enjoy.
If you have included a gift for the Conservancy in your estate plan, please let us know so that we can thank you for your special commitment.
We will be honored to include you as a member of the Vanguard Society and recognize you in Landscript, our annual report and newsletter, or anonymously if you prefer. Notify us: bheflin@gtrlc.org.
Your thoughtful gift is an investment in the long-term sustainability of the Conservancy.
